BELIEFS

We say love hurts
What about hate, is it not painful??
We say happiness is short lived,
Does pain stay with us forever??
We say someday our friends will leave,
But what about stranger,
Do they stay like forever??
Everything and everyone comes to go,
Good things take time as all of us know.
Wait for your turn patiently,
You'll get your answers
Time is great
And miracles are always happening
And god is there just above us
Believe in him and yourself too
Your time shall come someday soon.

FUTURE OF STEM- GIRLS!

Ron was confused since yesterday's meeting where he had witnessed a focus group discussion on the topic of the future of girls in STEM. The group consisted of seven members from elite research institutions from all over the world. They were just given the topic to discuss informally and Ron had sat outside the glass wall as he was the moderator. Ron had preconceived notions about the topic but he had decided to keep his opinions to his heart and just note down the happenings in the group. The statement that had hit him most during the discussion which had also affected his sleep last night was that the future of girls in STEM is not at all a point of discussion. This is a baseless subject altogether.
What made this remark come as a surprise was that it came from Nish who herself was seen as the pioneer of STEM research and the first lady who started her 'Only Girls' research organization.
The other six comprising of people from all diverse backgrounds including males and females had generally voted in positive for the bright future of girls in STEM. The examples of brilliant girls taking the world by storm was the highlight of the discussion. Everyone pointed out that with good support, girls may really prove to be good in STEM. After every seven to eight minutes Nish would come out very harshly dampening all the spirits of the group stating very clearly that the girls should be kept away from being a part of STEM activities. A big "Why?" roared in all its brutality in Ron's heart.
Today Ron had to submit his report on the discussion. He so wished that he could wipe away Nish's comments but being a fair researcher he knew this was not possible.
He decided to do something which he himself had never thought he would do. He impulsively called Nish and asked her one straight question which had crossed his mind thousands of times since yesterday. He blurted out, "Why you of all the people in the world believe that the future of girls in STEM is not bright? You yourself have set a benchmark which girls all over the world draw inspiration from!"
The answer surprised Ron so much that he could not help smiling. Nish said,"Let us reword the topic of the discussion and then you will see what I meant. The topic was Future of girls in STEM and my point was that Girls are the future of STEM. I have dedicated my whole life to prove this point and after an entire haul of six decades you ask me what is the future of girls in STEM. Girls do not have to be a part of the STEM activites with support. They will lead the STEM world and provide support to entire humanity."
Ron could feel her words ringing not in his ears but in his heart when his door bell rang. His scientific wing coordinator had come for the report.
Ron typed the final line on his laptop and then changed the title from Future of girls in STEM to Future of STEM- Girls!!

DECEPTION

Was starving, at the brink of death, so you fed me with lies
Saying it was love, but then I saw the opposite in your eyes
Tell me did I ever have the chance?
To just feel happiness at a glance?
Would I be sticking around in your life?
Gleaming fake smiles as you kept stabbing me with a knife?
Sobbing to myself to forget, as I dance without the melodies of my mind
We were always invincible until your ego and my reality left me behind
Screaming to the world that I was the manipulated version of ‘alright’
Convincing myself that my loneliness kept me company at night
Slowly we went on our own as we broke apart
Insanity appreciating your ego; a true sense of art
A void of darkness, I could hear you screaming
You lost me a long time ago, not when I was leaving
The words still clearly ringing, all I can feel is weak
Left with nothing, your actions hurt the words you were longing to speak
Didn’t even bother to see that I was helping you
Not your enemy, nor the demons of your mind you failed to fool
I just hoped and prayed to bring back the real you in this reality
Instead, I stood numb as you set fire to your heart, me being the fuel
I know things are tough
But please, for me don’t give up
Don’t be like all the rest
Don’t shut me out and think that you're the best
Please, I beg you, make it out of there for me
Wrestle with your mind, don’t feel guilty for giving into my agony
I have been livid, snatching the blame from everything you do
I wish I hadn’t replaced your happiness, I wish I could save you
I’ll be gone soon, just a shattered piece of glass in your memory
I’ll be punished for this sin so now you can finally be happy
Because everyone feels better and can cling onto peace
When the hated demon is brutally killed, a soon to be feast
